These regions are not well known for bouldering. Being predominantly limestone, which is never the best rock for bouldering, there is not one definitive big spot. However, due to the diligence and exploits of a committed local group in exploring not only the obvious locations, but also some hidden gems (including sandstone and quartzite areas), there’s actually plenty to go at. There’s some amazing places to drag a pad to and some very hard problems – up to 8c. This is not intented to be an exhaustive list of venues, nor to list the problems either, but just to point out some of the major spots. Places which visitors should be pretty psyched to visit.
As with all the climbing please remember you are in beautiful, natural places please so don’t litter, don’t behave inappropriately and please try to clean off chalk and especially tick marks.
